The ‘Be the Influence – Tackling Binge Drinking’ campaign is part of the Australian Government’s National Binge Drinking Strategy. The strategy raises awareness of the short and long-term impacts of binge drinking on young people. Ultimately, it aims to, over time, contribute to the development of a more responsible drinking culture within Australian society.

This initiative aims to reduce the exposure of young people and children to alcohol imagery and branding, and also to reduce the links between alcohol and sporting activities where young people are involved. This was implemented at a number of high profile sporting events around Australia including the A League Final in Sydney, Australian Swimming Championships in Adelaide & the Netball Finals in Melbourne and the Gold Coast.
