HCF Light Up Wristband Activation

May 27th, Sydney NSW           At the Sydney Swans vs. North Melbourne game on Friday 27 May, HCF ran an in-stadium activation to launch the season long campaign with a bang! HCF distributed 5,000 LED light up Flash Bands to Sydney Swans Fans. These custom made Flash Bands record your pulse, and flash according to the speed of your heart rate. HCF is Australia’s largest not for profit health provider, and are solely focused on putting people’s health first. The wristbands were specifically distributed at a Sydney Swans game because HCF has been a premier partner of the Sydney Swans since 2014. As part of HCF’s commitment to put health first, HCF have created the ‘HCF Health Hub’ which sits within the Sydney Swans website. This activation is part of a season long campaign centred around #HCFgoswans. HCF are awarding ‘Fan of the Week’ and ‘Fan of the Month’ prizes to the most passionate fans who tag #HCFgoswans to social media. This unique activation was designed to distribute 5,000 LED light up Flash Bands to Sydney Swans. The Flash Band had three different types of flashes: slow, steady and fast. When the Flash Band was flashing in a slow pace then the fan was settling in. When the Flash Band was flashing in a steady pace then the fan was getting excited. And finally when the Flash Band was flashing in a fast pace it meant the fan was screaming ‘GOAL!’. The passion of Sydney Swans fans were brought to life as the Flash Bands lit up in response to soaring heart rates. During the 1st and 3rd Quarter breaks, HCF aggregated the heart rates of all the fans, and announced the very first SCG Stadium Heartbeat. The fans were allowed to keep the wristbands and they could even charge the wristbands for further use. During this unique activation 30 of our promo staff in Sydney was present. The promo staff did an excellent job in distributing all wristbands and getting the fans excited for the results of the SCG Stadium Heartbeat. Furthermore, the promo staff had to encourage the fans to tag #HCFgoswans on social media, as the fans could win spectacular prizes. Overall it was a very successful event! Many fans were enthusiastic about the HCF wristband and couldn’t wait for the fast flash. The combination of the unique concept of HCF and the well-trained promo staff, made the event memorable.
